Who are we?
The Instituto de Estudios de la Lengua Española (IELE) is a private centre dedicated exclusively to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language, in addition to arranging housing for prospective participants. IELE offers a variety of Spanish courses to students, teachers, businesses, groups and, in general, any person interested in experiencing and studying Spanish language and culture first hand.
Location
Description of the Centre
IELE is situated in a stylish typical Sevillian house; the centre consists of the following characteristics:
- A spacious and well-lit reception/administration hall
- Seven newly-furnished classrooms totally equipped
- A combination library-documentation room
- A 150m2 terrace, used as a meeting and gathering spot for our students, teachers, and friends, within arm`s reach of the Giralda Bell Tower.
About our Students
IELE may register up to 60 students per session. The majority of these students originate from countries belonging to the European Community, Eastern Europe, Japan and the United States.
The average age of our students lies between 20 and 30 years. The minimum age is 16 years, with the exception of courses held in the teacher’s home and those prearranged by accompanied scholastic groups, whose minimum age in that case is 14. On the other hand, we work with retirement-aged students in our "Senior Course". At IELE there is no upper age limit.
