HLi offers a full course, including Language Classes and Cultural Seminars, from Beginner to Advanced levels. The Spanish course enables students to speak and understand Spanish in context, using authentic materials and practical situations. Students can advance to a higher level at any point in the course. Our course also prepares students for admissions exams to enter Spanish Universities. The Cultural Seminars offer a complement to language learning and give students the chance to learn about and experience many different aspects of Spanish culture.
We offer small class sizes, in most cases eight to ten students per class. This gives our teachers the ability to focus on individual needs and allows our classes a more dynamic environment for maximum participation and learning potential.
The HLi Spanish Course is certified by the Instituto Hispanico de la Rioja, an official educational and cultural governing board of Spain. This organization has approved HLi as an official institution with a degree to teach Spanish as a foreign language (Diploma oficial de Espanol como lengua extranjero). Our classes are eligible for University credit as determined by each institution.
The teachers at our centre are specially trained to prepare students for the ECCO and DELE exams, levelled Spanish competence exams. The ECCO (Examen de Cempetencia Comunicativa en Espanol como Lengua Extranjera) is an internationally recognized certificate that can be used throughout the world to verify a student's official level of language acquisition. The DELE (Diploma de Espanol como Lengua Extranjera) is another certificate recognized by Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sport. This certificate allows students to apply for admission to Spanish universities.
Both official certificates are of great value for students who wish to work in a Spanish-speaking country.
The school can fully document your contact hours and material covered, plus provides a letter grade if necessary and statement of successful completion of the course. Some colleges and universities will accept this documentation and grant students academic credit directly for their work. Credit hours and approval are determined by each University.
