La Palma is a paradise for walkers. Here the rural paths, decorated with green vegetation that seems to go on forever, lace through the island taking you to places that your eyes don't get tired of seeing. The green hills and the blue of the sky draw you further into an island that is fascinating in its morphology and timeless in its depth of vision.
The range of paths you can take is unlimited. From simple garden paths that are splashed with colour from a veritable fiesta of garden flowers to more taxing paths that travel through near jungle terrain across the Picos Bejenado or Birigoyo. As this without forgetting the paths of Marcos and Cordero or the Caldera de Taburiente, where the miracle maker that is water takes on a completely different perspective.
The island of La Palma is situated in the northeastern sector of the Canary Archipelago, a little further west of the 17º meridian and a little further north of the 28th parallel. It forms parr of the group of seven islands that are governed by Spain and are located deep in the Atlantic Ocean about 100 kilometres from the African coast.
